Morning
Arrive at Glacier Anglers & Outfitters, located at Paddle Ridge in West Glacier, at 7:30 a.m.
Your guides will load your dry bag onto the shuttle, which you’ll take upriver to the launch point — about a 20-to-30 minute drive.
At the launch point, the guide team will rig the boats and gear. Meanwhile, the lead guide will deliver an orientation and safety talk ahead of your unforgettable river adventure.
Spend the next few hours floating and fishing for westslope cutthroat trout while taking in the grandeur that surrounds the Flathead River’s Middle Fork. There are a few rapids from Bear Creek to Paola, but it varies from where you put in.
Afternoon
Pull over for lunch, stretch your legs and take a quick dip in the river if the day is hot. After lunch, continue fishing and floating down the river.
Our guides have a deep knowledge of the river. We’ll help you pick what flies to use and share techniques to help you get a “fish-on.”
Evening
Arrive to the campsite with plently of time to relax, fish from the shore or chat with new friends as the guides prepare dinner. Guests are welcome to bring cards, games, books or other small activities to enjoy during downtime.
Drift off to sleep in your sleeping bags under the starry sky.
Morning
Wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and breakfast cooked by the guides.
Pack up camp and go fishing.
Relaxed drifting occupies much of the day as you float through ripples, eddies and fishing holes.
Take in the breathtaking vistas. In the peak of summer, the water is so clear you can watch the trout come up from the bottom of the river to take your fly.
