Over the course of one action-packed day, our expert instructors will strengthen your on-river abilities, with lessons surrounding reading dynamic water, understanding streamflow, performing basic river rescue techniques and more. Additional courses are available after completing your adventure.

Yes, but the person you transfer to must have the necessary skill and fitness level to participate in the course.

Fishing and Rowing Schools can be canceled up to 45 days before arrival, subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the initial payment. Cancellations made within 45 days of arrival are non-refundable.

Yes. If the trip gets canceled from our end, you will be refunded in full.

The tuition covers course instruction, snacks, lunch, PFDs and hotel transfers.

Instructors are prepared to cater to all ability levels, but your personal river experience should be clearly stated during registration so guides can prepare to fit you with the best learning experience.

You’ll need to be able to hike on variable river terrain, get in and out of a raft and drift boat and have full use of your arms and legs. Please let us know if you have accessibility/mobility requests ahead of time — we’re happy to accommodate when possible with advance notice.

You won’t be permitted to use your own PFD/life jacket — they must be provided. We won’t be wearing waders. If it’s rainy, please wear full rain gear. Dress in warm, comfortable layers that allow mobility. Bring a reusable water bottle, sunglasses, hat, gloves and a small, waterproof boat bag to store unworn layers.

You’ll be paired up with one additional rower plus an instructor in a raft or drift boat. You will switch off equally with the other student.

Please arrive at Paddle Ridge in West Glacier at 8 a.m. and expect to finish up at 5 p.m.
