While planning your trip, it is important to keep in mind where your "home base" lodging will be. We always recommend planning a couple nights on the West Side of the park at Grouse Mountain Lodge, West Glacier Motel or Apgar Village Lodge and a couple nights on the East Side of the park at Glacier Park Lodge, St. Mary Village or Prince of Wales. This way, you can enjoy many areas of the park without spending too much time driving back and forth from each location.
