Road Biking Glacier National Park and Whitefish

Biking the "Sun Road" is a unique and thrilling experience. Let your wheels roam free and have the most beautiful road in the Park all to yourself early in the season. The road opens to bikers and hikers before allowing vehicle traffic in the springtime. Enjoy this favorite two-wheeled ritual May-June. During this time, bike rentals and guided tours are available.

The beauty doesn’t end in Glacier National Park. Surrounding Flathead Valley has plenty of beautiful roads to enjoy on two wheels. A trip on Lakeshore Drive in Whitefish is a great out and back option for east side views of Whitefish Lake. Head north to Eureka for an 80 mile loop all the way around Lake Koocanusa. Another popular road ride is an out and back option on Star Meadows Road which combines beautiful scenery and solitude.
